Petnica Summer Institute

Summer School on Quantum Technologies for Detection, Communication and Computing
1 August - 8 August, 2025

Quantum technologies exploit the concepts of superposition and entanglement, as well as the control of individual quantum objects in order to secure the communications, develop ultra sensitive detectors or revolutionize computing and numerical simulation. The Quantum Tech PSI will provide a comprehensive introduction to these transformative technologies, focusing on experimental approaches and applications. Participants will explore a diverse range of topics, including:

Who should attend? This school is designed for senior undergraduate and early graduate students, particularly those from the Balkans region. However, we warmly welcome students from around the globe. All lectures will be conducted in English, ensuring an inclusive and international learning environment.

Who will teach? Participants will learn from leading experts, including postdocs and senior researchers from academia, as well as professionals from top quantum technology companies across Europe and the United States.
